The Earley Help Hub started when a group of church leaders in Earley met to talk about how churches in the Earley area could help serve vulnerable people at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic in March 2020. The Earley Help Hub (EHH) was formed, volunteers recruited and services offered across the community. Since it's start in March 2020, the EHH has helped around 500 clients with collecting prescriptions, shopping and a wide range of other practical helps. We have also helped families with children in schools who are on pupil premium with gifts at Easter and Christmas.
Similar Hubs have now been formed in Reading and in other towns and cities across the UK. Locally, the EHH is recognised and approved by Wokingham Borough Council, Earley Town Council and Citizens Advice Bureau.
In early 2022, the Earley Help Hub became part of the Torch Hub Network which means people can quickly ask for help and engage volunteers for tasks. Please go to the following link for more information; torchhub.org.uk/
