About the Brookside Church Family...

At the heart of Brookside Church is a desire to be a family who love God and His presence, and who make His love tangible to all those we encounter. We seek to do this through acts of kindness and service to others in our Brookside family, as well as to those in our local community, the wider Reading community, and to our individual neighbours, work colleagues, friends and families.

We believe some important keys to this are...
  • Growing more and more of a Kingdom Culture in every aspect of church life, praying as Jesus taught, that more of this kingdom might be revealed through us into the earth
  • The amazing love & goodness of God, the Father - It is our conviction that God is a good Father; and that it was love that compelled Him to send His Son into this world...more
  • Jesus - We are so grateful to God for His Son, Jesus Chris. It's because of Jesus we have hope for our lives today, and a future that is secure beyond this life.
  • We are part of a family, not an organisation - God is constantly referred to as Father. Jesus, although God, is also a Son. This tells us so much about the priority God places on family...more
  • Priests together - We are committed to helping every member of the Brookside family to recognise and exercise their roles as God's priests or representative in today's world...more
  • Believing truth - To find love and acceptance it’s really important to know and experience God’s love and acceptance of us...more
