Leadership of the Brookside Family...
Brookside is led by a leadership team and supported by a team of trustees. The leadership team is responsible for the oversight of the church family and together we are committed to a style of leadership that is very relational, affirming and enabling. We share our lives and seek to be real, because we think this kind of transparency and vulnerability are important.
We are also determined to make our leadership 'environmental'. It is not our responsibility to control everything that happens in the church or in people's lives, but rather to create an environment where people are encouraged and inspired to discover who they truly are and live out the dreams God seeds within them. Nurturing and protecting this kind of environment is a key leadership priority. The leadership team also works closely with a wider team of leaders with whom they meet regularly to consult with, pray with and support.

Brookside Church has it's own Charitable Trust, Brookside Community CIO, this provides us with charitable status and enables us to reclaim a percentage of income tax paid by people when they give regularly to Brookside Church. Click here for more information about giving to Brookside.
The trustees support the leadership team in carrying responsibility for the life of the church. They have specific responsibility for finance, personnel and for the building we own. Trustees manage our risk register and they function in line with principles outlined by the Charity Commission. Trustees serve for three years and then can continue in their roles for further three year periods. Click here to meet our Trustees.
