Prayer
The vision for the prayer life of the church is: "100% of our church members devoted to prayer. This is because we consider prayer to be essential for doing or achieving anything. We see it as the 'engine room' in all areas of church life. Prayer demonstrates our utter dependance upon God and our need of Him to enable the church to grow or to make any impact.
Prayer is a two-way communication with God and involves worship, listening to God, being stirred by His desires, as well as bringing our needs before Him. The Bible says that God hears and responds to our prayers and through it things change: in our lives, the lives of those around us and in the nations.
We encourage individual church members to pursue a personal and intimate prayer life. Brookside also facilitates an electronic e-mail prayer chain. Urgent prayer requests can be sent to Nigel and Pat Bevan, they will circulate prayer requests to those members of Brookside who are part of the prayer chain e-mail group.
Please send prayer requests to: nigelandpat.bevan@btinternet.com
