Schools Work...

We are excited to run a ‘building self esteem’ programme in the local primary school and hope to take this further into ‘09 with new volunteers and openings in other local primary schools. We have built good relationships with staff and pupils at Loddon Primary and have been recommended to other schools by the LEA Children’s support unit. We believe that Children should know that they are special, unique and loved by God. Helping them to build a healthy self esteem goes some way in communicating to them their value and worth. Our small group work gives children space to talk and think about issues they face. Such valuable time can often slip through the net amidst busy school timetables, large class sizes and pressurized school budgets. We hope to be able to serve our local schools as a way of meeting a need.
