Our weekly time together on Sunday mornings is called The Next Big Thing, meeting from around 11am, during the main Brookside church meeting.  Each morning is led by different members of the youth team, usually following a version of the teaching series being followed by the wider church.  This term we’re looking at the massive concept of God’s Kingdom and how we can understand it, embrace it and see how being part of His growing kingdom is the most exciting, exhilarating thing we can be a part of. We intersperse these sessions with tricky questions, discussions, and the odd game of rounders on the park if the weather’s nice.  On Sunday nights, we head over to Watford about once a month to join in with the fantastic Soul Survivor congregation over there.  To be in place where there are hundreds of young people and adults worshipping together and seeing God move in a larger setting has proven to be a great addition to cell groups and other aspects of the youth programme.
